In the battle of the streaming services, who’s your favorite and what are the shows you’re watching now.
I’m holding out a lot for the new Disney streaming service. I have Netflix, Itunes and amazon, never got in to Hulu but with all of these services trying to come up with original content I feel like their goal is simply to win awards, lots of very serious shows that take a lot out of you by watching them. I’m going all in on Disney and hoping that maybe I can just watch some old animated films that make me happy. When I get home at night, or have time off over the weekend I do not want to be forced in to thinking when I’m entertained.
You can steal one painting or artwork from one museum and you won’t get caught, who would you choose and keep in mind, you would have to find a place to keep it.
I kind of want a formal sculpture garden somewhere out in the country, rolling fields, grass, some maple trees that change color. So I think that if I had a choice of artist, and since we’re in fantasy land, can I opt in for a building, if so I’m going to go for the Barcelona Pavilion. Go big or go home. I’m going to go off the idea that we can all accept that architecture is an art and that Mies van der Rohe is an artist, so hopefully this counts? I can walk from my house through my gardens and have lunch out on the pavilion. I like that.
The idea of a Green New Deal has been in the news quite a bit lately and promises to be a big topic come the elections next year, would you support it?
I think that’s a loaded question. I support anything that is going to help the environment, but I’m not going to vote for an individual based solely upon whether they are pushing the Green New Deal or not, there are a lot of other issues that also need to be dealt with.
The climate is changing, would you install, or have you installed solar on your home? Why or why not?
I would if I had the space. I’m an urban dweller. I live in an apartment building, kind of hard to get solar. My understanding is that you can opt to get your power from solar or other renewable energy sources, but have no idea how that works.
It’s amazing to think that considering the environmental crisis there are still those who abide by NIMBYism. Would you be opposed to wind turbines in your neck of the woods?
I guess I should get out more, I don’t see a lot of wind turbines around here. I’ve driven through the California desert and seen the giant wind farms, I can imagine that they might seem unsightly, but I also don’t see a lot of people living around there. Seems pretty industrial.
The legalization of cannabis seems like a foregone conclusion, are you for or against and to what extent?
Full disclosure, I have a couple various bags or edible cannabis goodies in my fridge right now. Mostly chocolate chip cookies, Dr Norms are my personal favorites, they’re actually good cookies. I have zero problem with the idea of legalized cannabis, although absolutely should be regulated. At some point I’m going to have kids, hopefully and I don’t want them to have unrestricted access to it. No home grown, only sold in regulated dispensaries. Hopefully we here in the US will catch up to the times and read the writing on the wall, not to mention the tax revenue could be huge and hopefully our governments, local and federal might even put it to good use.
It seems that everyone has some story about someone they know who has been helped by medical cannabis, do you have one you’d like to share?
You guys aren’t going to publish any names if I ask you not to, correct? So if that’s the case, I work as a corporate attorney, it’s a terrible job, but it pays my bills and it is intellectually stimulating, to an extent, but its way more high stress than it needs to be. I go get off work go home, at night I’m trying to get to bed, I don’t want to take sleeping pills or anything like that, a pot cookie or gummie, with a glass of wine or a beer in the summer time and I am out, and I feel great the next morning. That’s my story.
